J Mark Dodds • Karen and Tim - the climate IS warming; there is no doubt about that from any department; the balance of whether or not this global warming is because of human activity or of the planet being closer to a hotter sun does not materially alter the fact that reducing mankind's production of greenhouse emissions can only ever be a good thing; inaction can only ever lead to making things worse whatever the cause of warming. Consider that 150 years ago fewer than a billion people existed and now more than 7 billion of us are all making more hay than ever before while the sun shines. I think there's a lot we can do to stop belching out hot air and get on with reducing the huge impact which our presence undeniably places directly on the biosystems of the only planet we've got.
