Got to get new talent into the industry so you're targeting students who've already built up mountains of debt drinking ahem, studying earnestly, their way through college. You really believe new graduates are going to cut the mustard on the sort of hours and grind needed to run a pub successfully? Seven days and nights a week, 365 a year? They haven't even learned how to get out of bed to check their student loan status let alone to see the dray come in at 6am and the cashing up at 1am. A couple of years ago this was a robust industry able to ride out economic troughs blah blah blah. Now it's a recruitment zone for kids wet behind the ears with no job to go to. This is certain to build up more problems
