RE: The Stock Market.

Good to see you on the forums Ted.

Would you mind giving us an insight into the future of our great pub Industry? There are so many pubs closing down at this minute, I was wondering if I should get myself of to Sainsbury’s and stock up on Stella just in case there aren’t any pubs left by the end of next week?

RE: The Stock Market.

Welcome Ted!

Glad you're on the pulse here. It really IS about time the PubCos started having their say - it's just been so one sided here for ages apart from Graham sucking, I mean, sticking up for you lot.

We simple pub folk haven't got much time for you refined besuited barrister / accountant types. We know about graft, personality, loyalty; people and community. We don't understand you sophisicated people who make brass out of muck like us. It's great we're going to have a chance to get along with you now you're among us here on the forum. A wolf in the pen is worth two on the hillside.

Have you invited Giles and Jeremy and Sheena and Spot and the Fisherwife too?

Just saw Steve's post and it reminds me, I heard somewhere that your buying power with the brewers gets you better discounts than the supermarkets do. IN other words - the brewers make smaller margins from PubCos than they do selling to the supermarkets.

Is that true? I'm so full of admiration. And now I understand that your new leases are fully tied, rpi linked and don't have any discounts? Is that true?

Wow! Where can I get some shares Ted?
