No Paul. There's no doubt some should be kicked out of their post and publicly humiliated for their actions or even jailed because they abuse their privilege and position despicably. And many politicians do become worn down by the nature of the work and the labyrinthine nonsense that is politics but it doesn't inevitably make them all into dishonest self serving creeps.

In the end politicians are people just like anyone else and, as with the general population, many are worthy of respect and some of contempt.
