BBPA high in lobbying stakes

BBPA is high profile because there's no one else in the pub industry doing anything distract attention from their hanging out at the Houses of Parliament, they've got a relatively big budget to do their hanging out on, and their former CEO is a former MP.
BBPA's most high profile activity recently was the hilarious Mr Pinty and their 'Axe The Tax' campaign which they launched AT LEAST two years' too late to influence political policy and was inspired mainly to deflect attention from the looming threat of Competition Commission noises going on at the time. Axe the Tax achieved NOTHING other than creation of ridicule for BBPA and blowing a load of cash on zilch return.
