Excellent news. I wonder how much of their beer is sold through ties? This is a good example of quality and service overcoming the inevitable in a declining market. This sort of approach is where the future of the pub industry should lie and ought to bring confidence to smaller brewers that de-regulation of the market - for de-regulation is what removal of the tie really is - far from putting pressure on brewers to close, will open up opportunity for greater diversity of bespoke regional brewing even down to the micro level.
