Mr Findlay ought to take some time out to reflect with more detail on "setting sustainable, fair rents" which would help him understand why many of his pubs (which never actually 'close' of course) see the churning of serially failing lessees year in year out and consider what the notion of "sustainable, fair rents" really means.
HE might also like to question why some BDMs on the ground are of the opinion that head office is living in 'cloud cuckoo land' over their expectations of what is truly achievable in rental terms.
