No it's part of Youngs' new thrusting go ahead business model they've copied from Enterprise Punch et al. It's called: "getting out of brewing; getting out of operating pubs, getting out of being an employer, concentrating on tied wholesale supply and becoming a property company".

None of this affects the heritage of the once family brewer though. No the heritage is preserved in the shareholder returns, the annual salaries and bonuses paid to the board. This kind of business strategy used to be called 'selling off the family silver' but it's completely acceptable practice now because cash is king.
