Congratulations gents, on a well-discussed thread with no diversions!

As a Pubco 'victim', 20 years plus experience, MBII, I was not green. I took legal and professional advice. It doesn't come cheap and neither does it come with a guarantee of satisfaction. All my early dealings were with Unique, pre-Enterprise. All terms and conditions remain the same, we were told. Most of our contacts were unchanged but boy, did the philosophy change!

No amount of Legal advice once in-situ, was ever going to change such a ONE-SIDED CONTRACT.

Every term and condition is in THEIR favour. And the lawyer's answer? That's the way it is, you can't change it, it generally works ok, get a structural survey (which doesn't cover most of the standard items in Dilaps, but how are we to know that?)

Oh, and by the way, you are paying your Legal fees AND theirs. Because that's the way it is.

Too one-sided, add in the ludicrous beer-tie at grossly inflated prices, (who ever saw the gross price before signing? No, just the "generous discounts" on offer.

WHAT A CON. IT'S WORSE THAN PYRAMID SELLING, only with a Pubco Lease you have to pay THEIR Legal fees AGAIN when you want to get out !

But the biggest con of all is to the UK Taxpayer......... I could almost guarantee that every outgoing (skint, not big personality) lessee owes more money to HMR&C, than they do to the thieving Pubco. Not one-sided.............................?
