Great idea, in prinicple, to look at ways of reinvigorating pubs which have lost their appeal for the communities they serve. Just how to make this work effectively throws up some fascinating prospects; it will be very interesting to see the types of pubs which have lost the plot and why they failed. Some of these will certainly be tied leaseholds. How the programme makers will get around issues of the tie restricting product range, and levying unsustainable rent with no security of essential tenure and how to raise finance when banks won't lend because there's nothing to secure borrowing against.
It would be great to have a behind the scenes warts and all of the making of the series.
