It's always very refreshing when Tim Martin comes out with his own take regarding the pub landscape. Free of the Surreal Specs most people in the pub trade wear, Martin sees various aspects of this trade for what they are - and says so usually with heaps of common sense thrown on top. And, justly, he seems to be listened to by many - which is almost a miracle in this business where, for many of the most influential players, black is white, water runs up hill to their bidding and complete fabrication of success is truth.
