John, you and Edward are absolutely right about personal irritations diverting from normal service and also about the anonymity provided by pseudonyms and aliases reducing the validity and value of the posters' point of view.

But there has consistently been a regular pattern to the diversionary side of the it: it's always started by someone who writes 'loose' when they mean 'lose' no matter what their sceen name is.

In defence of anonymity on pub trade forums; most of it because people are scared (I know this to be absolutely true) of being identified as a dissident by their pubco. And of the likely consequences.

I cannot go into detail bue one of Monday's protestors at Enterprise or Punch has been told by a BDM that the company considers the lessee to have broken some aspect of their lease with the pubco and is threatening legal action against them.
